With the Independence White Paper due to be published this month (on Tuesday 26th November), Arran Yes supporters’ plans are gathering pace.
On Saturday 9th November (just two days ahead of Polish National Day) we intend to celebrate historic links between Scotland and Poland with a drop-in Café at Whiting Bay Hall from 11am to 4pm. In addition to Polish home-baking, and teas and coffees, there will be information on Independence and on voter registration.
Everyone welcome – you certainly don’t need to be Scottish or Polish! Come along for a chat about how we can make Scotland better. For further information, including anyone wanting a lift to and from Whiting Bay phone 01770 810601, or email [email protected].
Also as a November fundraiser, there’s the opportunity to win a Len Hartley limited edition print “Lochranza Sunset” in The Big Picture Raffle. “Lochranza Sunset” is currently on display at the Book and Card Centre in Brodick, where tickets are also available.
Other prizes include wall photography from Jim Macrae, Anna Downard, Jim Gourlay and Nigel Walker. The draw will take place at the Yes Arran St Andrews Night Dinner at The Douglas Hotel on 30th November. Further information from [email protected] or text 07850 125611
